Allowance

Deep in Concentration … captured on April 7, 2007

Now that he's six, Jennifer and I thought Matthew should start doing a bit of work around the house. Simple stuff like bringing his dishes to the kitchen, cleaning up his room and trying to make his bed on weekdays. To compensate him for his these efforts, we decided to start an allowance. Not a lot, mind you, but a little money he can save to buy something when we're vacationing in PEI. Besides, it's not about the amount. So far—week one—he's been pretty excited about the whole thing. Let's see if it lasts.

Looks like he is doing a jigsaw puzzle?

What a good idea. Everyone likes to 'earn ' some money for work well done. What fun he will have making up his mind what to spend it on.

PS We are sure lucky to be able to read some more - and it is Sunday. Thanks
Hey! Maybe you could write a story & release it chapter by chapter.......??????

Yes, he's doing a jigsaw puzzle, and I always (99%) write a blog on Sunday. It's Saturday I usually skip.

Good to see young Matthew taking some responsibilities, I`m sure he will do his tasks well and to be compensated will only encourage him.
