Soaring Soccer Ball | captured on August 18, 2011
Apologies for being so sporadic lately; it's a combination of being busy with volunteer work, job hunting, fighting with Service Canada and feeling a bit sorry for myself. I can't get into the reasons here, but suffice it to say I'm having great difficulty letting go of something and as much as I know it doesn't help…well, there you have it. Either way don't worry because today I'm up!
I spent the better part of three hours working on a résumé which I sent off this morning. Alas, I forgot to include a salary requirement (as requested) so I hope it doesn't cut me from the list. I was very well-suited for the position. I suppose if I don't hear from them in over a week, I'll try and call. For reference sake, of the 15-or-so CVs I've sent off, only one of them has responded with a "Thanks, but no thanks."
I am planning on writing a long piece regarding the job search; mostly for my own benefit so I can sift through and figure out what it is I'm trying to do. I'll just need one, uninterrupted morning which I don't get very often. Otherwise, everyone's doing well. The kids are ready for school and our soccer schedule keeps us busy evenings. BTW, did you see the ball in the photo above?
Job searching can be frustrating indeed, I remember it well, but suffice to say it's persistence and try and try again that will bring results. Someone is bond to recognize and need someone with all your qualifications soon, stay with it, do not despair and feel bad about the time it takes, you are not alone, we are all pulling for you. Glad to hear everyone is well and busy and yes I saw the ball as well as the airplane on the last photo, great shots.

Glad you told me that it is a ball I'm looking at, I thought there was a problem with my screen! Keep those spirits high, Mike…the right thing will come along. All of us are rooting for you. Hope the children enjoy their return to school.
